DEAR FUTURE HOMEOWNER,
Perhaps the most wonderful thing about our home is the way it brought our family together, in every season and through every chapter.
Set on what was once old farmland, the large front and back yards gave us room to roam, play, and dream. Our childhood was filled with joy in this space, from my dad organizing backyard relay races during birthday parties to cheering us on as we put on homemade plays for the neighbours. Some of my favourite memories are simply laying on the front lawn with friends, watching the clouds drift by, and talking about life.
And the garden was always full of something fresh, like tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, and currants. Plus, the raspberry bushes and rhubarb still grow strong, just as they did when we were kids. This home gave us more than shelter; it gave us traditions, laughter, and a deep sense of belonging.
If you're new to the area, you should definitely check out the wonderful communities of Virgil and Niagara-on-the-Lake, just across the Carlton Street bridge. Many Sundays, we’d pile into the car for a slow country drive, exploring the local fruit stands or going for a hike. And if we were lucky, Dad would steer us toward Avondale Dairy on Stewart Road for ice cream, a treat we’d enjoy while watching the cows in the fields nearby.
This home is in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood where people take pride in their homes and look out for one another. Some of the original owners are still here, which is a testament to how special this place really is. While the neighbourhood has grown, the friendly, welcoming spirit has never changed. And with shopping and conveniences just around the corner, you’ll find it’s as practical as it is comforting.
I wish you the very best in your house hunt and truly hope you will give 10 Ridgeview Avenue your consideration. This home has meant so much to our family, and I know it’s ready to hold space for someone else’s beautiful memories now, too.
Sincerely,
Keith
