Thank you for taking the time to visit my home. As I think about passing it along to someone new, I find myself reflecting on all of the memories made here and everything that has made this house so special to my family.
My favourite part about this home has always been its location. It truly offers a little bit of beauty both inside and out. From the beginning, it felt like the perfect size for a family, and when I renovated, I tried my best to create a home that reflected that feeling. We spent so many wonderful days swimming, playing in the yard, and enjoying the outdoor space with friends and family. There was always plenty of room to gather, celebrate, and make everyone feel welcome.
Being only steps from the water has been something I have never taken for granted. I loved being able to walk out my front door and head along the waterfront for a walk or jog. A short stroll up the creek leads you to beautiful Kingsbridge Park, where you can walk over the water toward the falls. Those walks became my daily peace after a long workday, often spent saying hello to familiar neighbours and meeting new ones along the way. It's hard to describe the sense of comfort this neighbourhood brings to everyday life.
I was so happy I chose this as my first home for my son and me. He grew up here from kindergarten, surrounded by the Chippawa community and the friendships that naturally come with it. I will miss that more than I can say. There is such a strong sense of community here, and it continues to grow. From the Lions Club and summer bands in Cummington Square to restaurants, parks, the boat launch, yoga, and local shops all within walking distance, there is always something to enjoy.
There is so much to do in this area today, and even more to look forward to with exciting additions like the new hospital and grocery store. It offers the best of both worlds: the warmth and support of a close-knit community, along with the thoughtful growth that helps every community thrive. I truly feel blessed to have raised my son here, and every time I went for a walk, I was reminded that choosing this neighbourhood was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I also made a few updates to the home over the years, and I hope you love them as much as I do. The kitchen is definitely my favourite. It's where so many conversations, celebrations, and everyday moments happened with family and friends, and not just because I love to cook!
I hope this home brings you the same happiness, comfort, and sense of belonging that it has brought to us. I know 7992 Peter Street will continue to be a place where wonderful memories are made.
