DEAR BUYERS,

Perhaps the most wonderful thing about this home is the memories of my parents, who purchased this house in November 2000, after years of paying rent on Rio Lane, when they finally were successful in purchasing their own home once again.

 

My parents were happily married and very much in love for 55 years when my dad passed away, and my mom waited 12 years to join him. They had both known poverty in their childhoods and were always careful with their finances. My dad was a dreamer, Mom was a realist, and they were inseparable.

 

I moved in with Mom in June 2017, after selling a neighbouring unit. In facing my own financial challenges, I was so very grateful to be able to move home and remain in the most beautiful and serene neighbourhood I have ever known. After Mom's passing in January 2021, the house just hasn't felt the same. Mom had always encouraged me to move on with my life and live to the fullest, and I am now at the point where I need to let go. I hope another love story will take over the house and fill it once more with playful banter, laughter, joy, and unconditional love!

 

In addition to the quiet peacefulness and tranquillity of 77 Linwell, there's also the convenience of being able to walk down to Port Dalhousie in less than 30 minutes, and a round trip within an hour, if you're just looking to walk. Even more appealing when attending the many events throughout the spring, summer, and fall! Definitely more convenient than battling traffic, having to pay for parking, if you can even find a spot in the height of summer! One of my all-time favourite events is Drumming Down the Sun, every year to celebrate the Solstice!

 

This home has received a great deal of TLC in the past few years, from updating most of the appliances, to a new furnace and air conditioning, and most recently, a new hot water tank. My youngest son, who is a landscaper, helped me to create the beautiful butterfly garden in my late mother's memory with plants donated by one of her closest friends and fellow crossing guard, and my choice of rose quartz decorative stone known as the Stone of Unconditional Love, carries a soft, nurturing pink energy that supports emotional healing, compassion, and deeper connection with oneself and others. Pink was also Mom's favourite colour!

 

I will certainly miss sitting out in front of the garden, watching all of the beautiful butterflies, particularly monarchs, as well as bumble bees, and last year I saw my first ever hummingbird, while feeling gratitude and appreciation for the time we had shared together and the memories that will last forever!
